New scientific paper published: “A New and Highly Stable Cocrystal of Vitamin D3 for its use in enhanced food supplements”-
One of the cocrystals CIRCE Scientific has successfully discovered is a new cocrystal of Vitamin D3 (Cholecalciferol) and resorcinol.
Our results show that the new cocrystal is extremely stable and it can become the basis for very efficient formulations of Vitamin D3 which fulfils the stability requirements of industrial applications.
The use of crystal engineering shows how some of the real problems in industry such as unstable compounds like vitamins can be overcome by modifying the physicochemical properties of their solid-state forms.
